The “Best Of” list for Music of 2007 is coming in the next few days. Changing up the way I do things this time around…I don’t think it will be a top 10. Should be fun, though.
It is my assessment that the vast majority of the Christmas lights in my neighborhood (with particular regard to my next door neighbor) aren’t really that good. There are a few gems…but not many.
Further, I assess that the lights on our house, while in need of some minor improvement, do not suck in any way. As a matter of fact (yes…fact), our house has the best light display on the block and possibly the best in our entire phase. Really…they are quite classy. Check out the pics.
Courtesy of The Boudreaus (dot com). You need to go check out their Christmas card. It’s seriously worth your next three minutes.
I just found this site courtesy of Marko and decided to kill five minutes with it. The results pretty much confirm what I already knew about myself from the DISC assessment (I’m an ISC), but I enjoy learning about these things.

Well, back in January, I wrote here about my desire to get a particular birthday gift. Things didn’t turn out so much that way. But as is true with anything good, there isn’t anything worth having that isn’t worth waiting for.
Christmas came a bit early this year. I scored the desired birthday gift: a brand new G&L ASAT Special Custom. Semi hollow body, Bigsby tremolo, mirror pickguard, Sperzel locking tuners, and a sweet sound that sounds as bright as the bling of the axe itself. It’s a special moment for me. I’ve been a guitar player now for over sixteen years and I’ve never owned a new guitar. This is really cool.
I didn’t need it. But it sure is nice to have.
Turns out one of my plugins on the blog (the one that stops bots from posting comments) was working too well and keeping me from posting. It’s been rather frustrating and I only just now got around to working on trying to figure that out. For anyone who might have been wondering why the long silence, that’s why.
But it’s fixed. Now I just need to figure out how to get that plugin back to where it works correctly.
More posts coming soon.
Today is one of those days that I am relieved to have a job I enjoy as much as I do, working for an organization that is as awesome as this one is. I am ridiculously tired today. This weekend kicked my butt. But at least my Christmas lights are up.
